Puppet Certification Program

The Puppet Certification Program is designed to validate and recognize outstanding IT professionals who have the technical capabilities and real-world experience required to manage their infrastructure proactively throughout its lifecycle using Puppet IT automation software.

Puppet Labs’ IT automation software enables system administrators to deliver the operational agility and efficiency of cloud computing at enterprise-class service levels, scaling from handfuls of nodes on-premise to tens of thousands in the cloud.

About Puppet Certification

Puppet certifications are currently available in two areas:

  • Puppet Professional: This certification validates system administrator competencies in using Puppet IT automation software to manage their infrastructure. Learn More »
  • Puppet Developer: This validates skills and competencies for developers who wish to expand their Puppet solution by developing extensions for Puppet in Ruby. Learn More »

Scheduling an appointment

Examinees may schedule their test appointment online or by telephone. To schedule online, you must first create a Pearson VUE web account. Please note that account creation may require up to 24 hours. You will be notified by e-mail when your account is activated.

After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.

Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment time. You will need to bring two forms of ID (one must have a photo and both must have signatures) to the test center with you.
