National Registry of Food Safety Professionals develops certification programs for food safety professionals. Industry professionals who should consider these programs include wait staff, chefs, cooks, bartenders, hosts and hostesses, food manufacturers and supervisory personnel, such as the general manager or managers.

International Certified Food Safety Manager (ICFSM)
Designed for: Restaurant and commercial food service managers, wait staff, chefs, cooks, bartenders, hosts and hostesses;
This is a Food Safety Manager exam. This exam is accredited by ANSI under both CFP and ISO/IEC 17024 standards. Taking this exam will help you measure how well you understand food safety.
To become an International Certified Food Safety Manager, you must pass the ICFSM exam.
- The exam consists of 80 questions and 5 pilot questions that must be completed in 120 minutes.
- Questions are multiple choices.
- You must achieve a minimum weighted score of 75 to pass.

Grocery Store – FSMCE-G

To become a Certified Grocery Store Food Safety Manager, you must pass the CGSFSM exam.
- The exam consists of 80 questions and 5 pilot questions that must be completed in 120 minutes.
- Questions are multiple choices.
- You must achieve a minimum weighted score of 75 to pass.

Non-Disclosure and Code of Conduct Agreement
You will be required to affirm that you have read and accept the terms of the NRFSP Non-Disclosure and Code of Conduct Agreements onscreen before you will be able to schedule an appointment to take the International Certified Food Safety Manager Exam. Please take a moment to review the terms of the Non-Disclosure Agreement (PDF, 37 KB) and the Code of Conduct Agreement (PDF, 277 KB). If you choose not to accept these terms, you will not be allowed to schedule your exam.
Scheduling
Please recognize National Registry of Food Safety Professionals (NRFSP) as the client when registering. When creating your Pearson VUE web account, you will be asked to provide your NRFSP ID. This ID is created by Pearson VUE. If you are a first-time test-taker, you will not yet have a NRFSP ID and you should leave this field blank.
