I cannot remember my HP Learner ID. What should I do?
You can find answers to questions pertaining to your HP Learner ID on the HP ExpertOne website – www.hp.com/go/ExpertOne.
I created my testing profile, but did not receive an activation email. What should I do?
Check your spam filter for an email from this address: email@example.com. This email has the details for you to activate your account.
How long do I have to activate my account?
You have 30 days to activate your account. If you have not activated your account within 30 days, you can use our account recovery process and another account activation email will be sent to you.
Can I use the activation code more than once?
No, your account activation code is good for a single use. However, you can use our account recovery process and another activation code will be emailed to you.
I forgot my username or password. What should I do?
Please use our account recovery process. Your username must be between 6 and 16 characters. Do not use special or accented characters in your username.
I no longer have access to the email I used when I created the account. What should I do?
To change your email address, contact HP.
How do I change my address?
- Click on the Sign In button at the top of this page.
- After signing in, click on the Update Profile link on the left side of the screen.
Where do I find links to schedule or purchase an exam?
The first time you sign in, you will be asked to review your demographic information and agree to the non-disclosure agreement. To move away from this screen, click the Verify button. Then, scroll down to the bottom of the screen and press Submit. This information is validated twice a year.
I do not see the exam I am looking for. What should I do?
HP updates, adds and removes exam regularly. If you are unable to find a specific exam, contact HP.
I get an error after entering my voucher code. What should I do?
Contact Pearson VUE customer service via chat to address this issue. Going forward, make sure you press the Apply Discount link prior to proceeding to the next page.
I get an error when trying to use my credit card. What should I do?
Contact a Pearson VUE customer service via chat to address this issue. Going forward, make sure to enter the correct credit card details prior to proceeding to the next page.
Where are Pearson VUE Test Centers located?
To locate a test center near you, click on Locate a test center. Only HP0 exams are offered in Pearson VUE Test Centers.
How do I receive information about my exam appointment?
For HP0 exams, an email with the appointment details will be sent to you after scheduling your exam. It will include the date, time of the appointment, location of the test center and directions. Print out a copy of the online confirmation and save it as confirmation of the appointment.
Note: Exam appointment confirmation emails are available in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. Make sure to set up your correspondence preference accordingly, when creating your testing profile.
What are the payment options for test takers?
The following payment types are available:
- Credit Card. AMEX, Master Card, VISA and JCB are accepted.
- Voucher Code. If you have a voucher code, you may use it as exam payment as long as the exam is scheduled and taken before the voucher code expiration period. Vouchers can be purchased using one of the available credit card options above, or by using PayPal. Bulk orders of vouchers may also be purchased using a purchase order or wire transfer.
Do I have to buy a voucher to purchase an exam?
No, you can use a credit card to schedule or purchase an exam.
How do I get a payment receipt for my exam appointment?
When you pay for an exam with a credit card, a payment confirmation email (in English) is automatically emailed to you. Print this email as a receipt. If you do not receive the automated email, first check your spam filter. If you do not find the confirmation email, contact Pearson VUE customer service via chat.
Can Pearson VUE sites accommodate test takers with special needs?
How far in advance do test takers need to cancel or reschedule their exam appointments?
- HP0 exams: you must cancel or reschedule your exam appointment 24 hours before the appointment date. A refund will be issued for canceled transactions with appropriate notification.
- HP2 and HP3 exams: web-based exams can be canceled up until the expiration period, which is within 12 hours after the exam has been purchased.
How long do test takers have to complete a web-based exam?
You must complete your test within 12 hours of purchase.
What are the system requirements?
The computer you use to take a web-based exam must meet the following system requirements.
- Internet browser: Internet Explorer version 7 or greater OR Firefox version 3 or greater.
Note: Chrome and Safari are NOT supported at this time.
- Screen resolution: equal to or greater than 1024 X 768
- Flash: version 9 or greater
- Internet connection: You will need a sustained Internet connection for the duration of the exam.
We encourage all test takers to run a system test prior to making a purchase. If your computer fails to meet these requirements, the exam will not launch.
My test will not start. What should I do?
The exam will not launch if your computer does not meet the system requirements outlined in the previous answer.
In addition, the exam will not launch if you do not have access to the appropriate websites required for exam delivery. If you are positive you have Internet access, check with your network administrator to ensure you can access the following websites: pearsonvue.com, integral7.com and ondemand.questionmark.com.
How will I receive a score reports
For all HP ExpertOne exams (HP0, HP2, HP3 exams) you can print your score reports on your own and reprint it from the website, if needed. Click on the Sign In button at the top of this page to get started.
Why don't the number of questions on my score report match my score?
HP exams often contain non-scored beta items for evaluation. The percentage score only reflects scored items. Contact HP with further questions.
When can I expect to see my exam results reflected in HP’s system?
Pearson VUE is required to submit exam results to HP within 2-5 business days after completion of an exam. The results are then uploaded into The Learning Center. During the transition period, please be aware that there may be slight delays in the processing of exam data. I am located in Africa and would like to purchase an exam voucher. What steps should I take?
You can purchase your exam voucher using a credit card or Paypal through the HP Voucher Store. You can also purchase exam vouchers at a Pearson VUE Test Center, as listed below. Visit or call one of these test sites and they will assist you in your purchase. When purchasing at a test center, you will be able to complete your transaction in your local currency. If purchasing through the HP Voucher Store, your order will be processed in USD.
When purchasing your exam voucher at a Pearson VUE Test Center, you may be charged a 30% authorized handling fee. This will be noted on your receipt.
