December 4, 2013: The Florida Insurance exams are being updated to the Pearson VUE National and State exam format effective January 1, 2014. The last administration date for the current versions of the Florida Insurance exams will be December 31, 2013. Candidates who wish to schedule an exam on January 1, 2014 or after will need to select the new version of the FL Insurance exam they wish to take in order to make a test reservation.

Please refer to the FLDFS Insurance Exam Reservation Guide for 2013 and 2014 (pdf) to determine which exam you will need to schedule, based on whether you wish to take your exam before or after Dec. 31, 2013.

Also new as of January 1, 2014, the following Florida Insurance exams will be offered in Spanish:

Examination Scheduling Information

Please VERIFY that your name and personal information are CORRECT. Contact Pearson VUE immediately to correct the spelling of your name or update your personal information if you notice any errors. It is very important that this information is correct, as it will appear as you entered it on the documentation provided to you after you have completed the exam, as well as on any reports to your licensing agency.

NOTICE regarding social security number: You are required by state and federal law to disclose your social security number on this application. Section 666(a)(13) of Title 42, United States Code, requires each state to obtain the social security number of each applicant for a professional or occupational license on the application for the license. Section 626.171(6), Florida Statutes, implements this federal law. The purpose of collecting social security numbers is for administration of the child support enforcement provisions of Title IV-D of the Social Security Act. The Department of Financial Services also uses social security numbers for identity verification purposes in conjunction with background checks of applicants and for identity verification purposes in the Department’s electronic database for licensees and applicants.

NOTE: When entering your address, you MUST provide a physical street address. POST OFFICE BOX is not an acceptable address and will cause a delay in your examination data being transmitted to FL DFS. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the FL Department of Financial Services.
