Citrix Selects Pearson VUE as its Exclusive Test Delivery Partner

1. When will this change happen?
   Citrix certification candidates may continue to register for and take exams with Pearson VUE as usual, with no changes. Candidates may schedule Citrix exams with Prometric through July 31, 2009, for delivery at Prometric testing centers until August 30, 2009. Beginning August 1, 2009, exams may only be scheduled with Pearson VUE and as of August 31, 2009, all Citrix exams will be delivered only through Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Centers.
2. Why is Citrix moving to Pearson VUE only? How will this change benefit my business?
   Shifting to a single vendor for exam delivery worldwide will allow Citrix to increase its certification program scalability and coverage, as well as increase operational efficiencies. Under this model, Pearson VUE and Citrix can work more closely together to focus on key areas such as exam security and marketing programs that protect and raise awareness of the value and integrity of Citrix certifications.
3. Who is Pearson VUE?
   Pearson VUE (www.pearsonvue.com) is the global leader in computer-based testing for information technology, academic, government and professional testing programs around the world. Pearson VUE provides a full suite of services from test development to data management, and delivers exams through the world's most comprehensive and secure network of test centers in 165 countries. Pearson VUE is a business of Pearson (NYSE: PSO; LSE: PSON), the international media company, whose businesses include the Financial Times Group, Pearson Education and the Penguin Group.
4. How are the processes/systems for Citrix exam registration and certification tracking affected?
   Pearson VUE has been a Citrix exam delivery provider since May of 2007. Citrix exam registrations are taken directly by Pearson VUE, therefore the exam registration process will be unaffected. However, Citrix exam registrations with Prometric will no longer be possible after July 31, 2009. The Citrix certification tracking system, Citrix Certification Manager (www.citrixcertmanager.com) is managed independent of the exam delivery provider(s) and will not change.
5. What is the last date Prometric can sell Citrix exam vouchers?
   In an effort to be able to accommodate as many outstanding Prometric voucher holders as possible, Citrix has requested that Prometric immediately discontinue the sale of Citrix exam vouchers. Existing Prometric vouchers may be redeemed through Prometric until July 31, 2009, for a scheduled exam date of no later than August 31, 2009. Beginning August 1, 2009, any remaining Prometric vouchers for Citrix exams will be redeemable through Pearson VUE.
6. Will the test center compensation or contract with Pearson VUE change?
   Pearson VUE does not plan to make any changes to your existing contract or compensation. All existing contracts between Pearson VUE and the Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Centers will be fully honored.
7. Does Pearson VUE offer all Citrix certification exams?
   Pearson VUE has been an exam delivery provider for Citrix certification exams since May of 2007. As a result, most exams offered by Citrix are already available at Pearson VUE test centers. The only exceptions to this are the Japanese, French and German versions of exam 1Y0-614 Citrix Access Suite 4.0: Design, which will be available at Pearson VUE before the transition period ends on August 31, 2009.
8. Does my center need to be exclusive with Pearson VUE in order to deliver Citrix exams?
   No. Pearson VUE does not plan to make any changes to existing contracts, and there is no exclusivity clause in the existing Pearson VUE contract.
9. How can my organization become a Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Center?

   It’s easy to join the Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Center network if you meet Pearson VUE’s basic requirements. You’ll find an application, technical specifications and instructions on their website at www.pearsonvue.com/pvtc/join.

10. Will there be any additional hardware requirements to support Citrix exams with Pearson VUE?
    No. If you are a current Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Center, no additional equipment is necessary. If you are becoming a Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Center so you can continue to deliver Citrix exams, then you will need to meet the general equipment requirements for Pearson VUE. 11. Where will Prometric’s Citrix test takers go?
    Citrix certification candidates who have previously tested with Prometric should register for and take their next Citrix exam(s) with Pearson VUE. Please refer to question #1 for key transition dates.
12. When can candidates expect to see their exam results reflected in the Citrix database?
    Exam completions generally take four (4) business days to appear in the candidate’s history in the Citrix Certification Manager system (www.citrixcertmanager.com). This lead time should not be affected by the transition. If the information does not appear after that time, the candidate should send an email to training@citrix.com.
13. Which other Information Technology exams can be taken at Pearson VUE^® Authorized Test Centers?
    Pearson VUE administers a wide variety of popular IT certification tests; including those by Cisco, Adobe, CompTIA, EMC, VMware and more, many of which are exclusive to Pearson VUE. In addition, Pearson VUE administers certification and licensing tests for a number of professional and academic organizations.
