Business Architecture Guild

The Business Architecture Guild’s Certified Business Architect (CBA)® program tests business architecture competencies in 10 domains. These domains include core and extended mapping, usage scenarios, governance, related discipline alignment, business performance and infrastructure management. For additional details, please refer to the Certified Business Architect (CBA)® homepage.

QUALIFYING TO TAKE THE EXAM

The only requirement to sign up and sit for the exam is to be a Business Architecture Guild member in good standing. If you are not a Guild member, you may go to the Business Architecture Guild homepage to join. From there, proceed to the Guild Certification homepage to obtain an exam voucher. Guild-issued exam vouchers are required to register for the exam.

TEST PREPARATION

The exam has 150 questions and a 150 minute time limit. A Guide to the Business Architecture Body of Knowledge® (BIZBOK® Guide), version 8.5 or later, is an important resource for preparing for the exam. The BIZBOK® Guide is available to Business Architecture Guild members. Additional information on how to prepare for the exam is available at the Guild Certification homepage.

SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT TO TAKE THE EXAM

The Certified Business Architect (CBA)® exam is administered by Pearson VUE and Object Management Group (OMG) for the Business Architecture Guild. The exam may be taken at a Pearson VUE testing center or online through OnVUE.

Candidates will notice certain OMG-related information and exams on certain pages of the Pearson VUE website as you create your account. Simply ignore any OMG-related information or exams that do not apply to you. First-time candidates must create a Pearson VUE web account. Once you have set up a Pearson VUE account, you may proceed to sign up for the exam immediately or can sign back in later at the Pearson VUE sign-in page. Look for the BA Guild exam at the bottom of the list of OMG exams. Appointments for in-person or online exams must be made at least one day in advance.
