APICS Certification Program

Note

All candidates are required to log in to the APICS website and complete the Authorization to Test (ATT) Request Form. An ATT is required in order to schedule an exam with Pearson VUE and is valid for six months from the date of issuance. After payment is applied, candidates will receive an ATT confirmation email from APICS with scheduling instructions and other exam-related information.

Certified in Production and Inventory Management

The APICS CPIM (Certified Production and Inventory Management) certification is recognized globally as the standard of professional competence in production and inventory control. Since 1973, over 100,000 professionals have earned the APICS CPIM designation.

Certified Supply Chain Professional

The APICS CSCP (Certified Supply Chain Professional) program sets the standard for supply chain management certification. Developed in 2006, this professional designation is the most widely recognized educational program for operations and supply chain management professionals around the world. 

Test Registration & Scheduling Information

Registration

To take a test, you must first complete the registration and payment process on the APICS website.

Scheduling

Once you have registered to take a test, you may immediately schedule your test appointment online at apics.org/myapics 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. Test appointments are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

After you schedule your test appointment, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation email listing your selected test date and testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center. Please check this information carefully for any errors.

Reschedule Policy

If you wish to reschedule your exam, you must do so at least one business day prior to your exam appointment. A reschedule fee of $45 USD will apply to any rescheduled reservations. Rescheduling an exam less than one business day prior to your exam appointment is subject to a forfeited exam fee. You may reschedule your appointment by visiting the APICS website at apics.org/myapics and logging in to your MY APICS account. Click on the My APICS link in the top right hand navigation, then click My APICS Certifications located on the right hand side of the page. Then click to expand Exam Authorizations and Credits. Click the Reschedule link next to the examination you choose to reschedule to access to the Pearson VUE scheduling system. You must reschedule your examination through your My APICS account or by contacting Pearson VUE directly. APICS cannot accept reschedule requests by email.

If you wish to reschedule your examination in a different window within your 6 month ATT expiration, please follow the cancellation policy below.

Cancellation Policy

Candidates who can no longer test within their originally selected window must cancel the exam directly in their My APICS account by accessing their scheduled ATT. If you wish to cancel your exam, you must do so at least one business day prior to your exam appointment. A cancellation fee of $45 USD will apply to any cancelled reservations. Cancelling an exam less than one business day prior to your exam appointment is subject to a forfeited exam fee. Once the cancellation has been processed, candidates should allow one business day for the cancellation information to be updated in the APICS system, then access the ATT form at www.apics.org/att and select the View/Update an existing Authorization to Test option to choose a new exam window. If a candidate chooses a new window that starts within six months of the original date the ATT was issued, no additional fees will be assessed. If a candidate selects a new window that starts after six months from the original ATT issue date, they must pay a new exam fee. No refunds or transfer will be issued.

Cancellation Policy for CPIM North America candidates only

Candidates who have scheduled an exam and can no longer test before their ATT Expires will forfeit their exam fees. Any exam cancelled will result in forfeiture of your entire exam fee paid to APICS and your Authorization to Test (ATT) will be consumed. However, candidates who have already scheduled their exam and can no longer take it are encouraged to cancel their scheduled exam to free up the reserved seat for other exam candidates. Candidates who wish to cancel their exam to free up reserved seats should contact APICS at exams@apics.org with your request.

Additional Information

Exam fees are forfeited for no-shows. Exceptions may be made for medical or other emergencies. If candidates miss the exam due to an emergency, they must contact Pearson VUE within 10 business days after the exam date. Pearson VUE contact information can be found at Pearson VUE Customer Service. Candidates must submit written documentation to Pearson VUE in order to have their request reviewed. A service fee of $10 will be applied to all reservations, reschedules or cancellations completed by the Pearson VUE Call Center. This fee will be in addition to any applicable reschedule or cancellation fee.
