ABR Certification Testing
The mission of The American Board of Radiology is to serve the public and the medical profession by certifying that its diplomates have acquired, demonstrated, and maintained a requisite standard of knowledge, skill and understanding essential to the practice of diagnostic radiology, radiation oncology and radiologic physics.
The ABR is offering all initial certification exams and the radiation oncology MOC examination as computer-based tests. The ABR is solely responsible for exam development, scoring, and reporting of results.

Please Note: The tutorial explains the use of several types of items; however, ABR exams use only one-best-answer, multiple-choice questions. All other features demonstrated are applicable to ABR exams.
Before scheduling an examination appointment, you must have already:
- Been declared eligible through the normal ABR process;
- Been notified of your eligibility to sit for the examination.
First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Please note that account creation may require up to 24 hours. You will be notified by email when your account is activated. Appointments may be made up to one business day in advance.
* Please note, if you are scheduling an ABR MOC exam, you must schedule your exam for 8:00am. If you schedule the exam for a time other than 8:00am, your appointment will be rescheduled for you.
After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
