NCS-VUE Signs Two New Testing Agreements

ProsoftTraining.com and Ericsson Select VUE to Deliver Certification Testing

Minneapolis, Minn., November 19, 1999 — National Computer Systems, Inc., (NCS) (NASDAQ: NLCS) announced today that its Virtual University Enterprises (VUE) division has signed agreements with ProsoftTraining.com (NASDAQ: POSO) and Ericsson (NASDAQ: ERICY) to begin delivery of their certification exams. Ericsson, a world leader in the telecommunications and data communications industry, is launching a new certification program and has selected VUE as their exam delivery provider. The agreement with ProsoftTraining.com, a pioneer in Internet certification, training and courseware, will expand their exam delivery to the global VUE network. Terms were not disclosed.

ProsoftTraining.com directs their Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW) certification program at professionals who design, develop, administer, manage, secure and support Internet and intranet services. A winner of the Association of Internet Professionals award for Sustained Industry Support, ProsoftTraining.com has been instrumental in the effort to standardize the Internet certification marketplace and define industry job roles. Through its partners, Prosoft offers CIW preparatory classes at hundreds of training centers on six continents. David I. Perl, president and chief operating officer of ProsoftTraining.com said, “Many of our largest training partners have requested that the CIW exams be made available through VUE testing centers. VUE’s reputation for consistently providing outstanding customer service, plus our shared foundation as Internet-based businesses make this an ideal relationship.”

Leading provider of combined telecom and datacom technologies, Ericsson said that, although vast, the market they address is still in its infancy and the need for technical education is high. “Ericsson believes data communications will play a central role in determining future society, where the ability to communicate anywhere, anytime will be taken for granted,” said Michael Reichelt, Ericsson senior consultant for competence development. “With our training and certification program, we pave the way for high-quality product support and customer satisfaction. When choosing a test delivery vendor, we looked for a company with the technical expertise and the infrastructure to support our certification program worldwide. VUE has clearly demonstrated their technical capabilities.”

“We are very excited about working with these two progressive companies,” said Neil Crocker, VUE vice president of Information Technology (IT) Programs. “The VUE testing system has been proven to be a flexible, versatile delivery vehicle capable of serving diverse segments of the IT industry.”
