Pearson VUE and (ISC)2® Sign Exclusive Contract to Deliver Computer-Based Information Security Exams Worldwide
Top Cyber Security Professional Body Moves to Computer-Based Testing to Meet Growing Global Demand for Certifications
Bloomington, Minn., October 27, 2009 — Pearson VUE announced today that (ISC)2, the not-for-profit leader in educating and certifying information security professionals throughout their careers with more than 66,000 members worldwide, has signed a contract with Pearson VUE, the leader in secure high-stakes testing, to begin computer-based delivery of its Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLPCM) exam sometime in 2010. Phasing in its other credential exams over the next three years, the CSSLP will be the first exam (ISC)2 will transition from paper-and-pencil delivery.
To meet growing demand for certified information security professionals, the CSSLP and subsequent exams will be available globally throughout the Pearson VUE-owned and -operated network of more than 250 Pearson Professional Centers, as well as Pearson VUE Authorized Test Center Select network and Pearson VUE Authorized Test Centers located on US military installations around the world. To reduce external testing variables, the testing process at all Pearson VUE centers is automated. All centers also include biometric collection, monitoring and other safeguards to ensure a consistent, secure testing experience for all candidates.
