Citrix Certification Exams Now Available Within DANTES Test Sites
FT. LAUDERDALE, FL., August 20, 2009 — Citrix Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CTXS) announced that a memorandum of understanding was recently signed with DANTES (Defense Activity for Non-Traditional Education Support) to make its certification exams available to military personnel at Pearson VUE/DANTES test sites. Now all eligible Service members, their dependents, DoD civilians and contractors are able to take Citrix exams at any of the over 110 Pearson VUE/DANTES test sites worldwide. As organizations seek employees with expertise in virtualization and networking fields, Citrix credentials provide a strong competitive advantage in today’s job market.
“We are very excited about our new relationship with Citrix and the ability to provide additional career opportunities for military personnel and their families,” said Dr. Jeffrey Cropsey, director of DANTES. “Being able to offer on-base testing will allow those taking advantage of this opportunity the ability to become Citrix certified more quickly.”
The Citrix certification structure, developed in collaboration with Citrix customers, consists of three levels of certification based on job roles — Administrator Series [Citrix Certified Administrator™ (CCA) and Citrix Certified Advanced Administrator™ (CCAA)]; Engineer Series [Citrix Certified Enterprise Engineer™ (CCEE) and Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator™ (CCEA)]; and Architect Series [Citrix Certified Integration Architect™ (CCIA)]. Specific credentials for application virtualization, server virtualization, application networking and desktop virtualization are available.
“Citrix certification provides far-reaching benefits as military IT departments focus on centralization, optimization and virtualization,” said Julieann Scalisi, managing director of Worldwide Education for Citrix. “From IT administrators through the most senior levels, military personnel who want to strengthen their Citrix credentials and bolster the value they bring to their organizations now have convenient access to certification exams at Pearson VUE/DANTES test sites.”
