Pearson VUE Receives First-Ever Service Award from the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP)
BCSP Recognizes Pearson VUE for Exemplary Service Provided in 2008
BLOOMINGTON, Minn., June 16, 2009 — Pearson VUE, the computer-based testing business of Pearson, was recently presented by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) with a Service Award in recognition of their outstanding service efforts in 2008. The award was presented at a quarterly business review at Pearson VUE’s headquarters in recognition of the exceptional effort that Pearson VUE put forth during a number of key BCSP certification program milestones that were achieved last year.
“This award is the first of its kind,” said Steven Schoolcraft, Examination Director at BCSP. “Pearson VUE exceeded our expectations over the last year by seamlessly migrating our certification exams to a new test driver while simultaneously republishing our two flagship exams. We expect Pearson VUE to deliver on their promises, but this award is for going above and beyond the boundaries of their commitment.”
The award was presented to Robert Whelan, president and chief executive officer of Pearson VUE. “This represents a huge accomplishment for both the Pearson VUE business and for our partnership with BCSP,” said Whelan. “I am proud of everyone that worked so hard on this achievement and am pleased that we’ve been able to provide the level of service that we strive for here at Pearson VUE.”
