Pearson VUE Signs Exclusive Contract with the National Society of Compliance Professionals

Pearson VUE to provide test development and test delivery for CSCP exam

BLOOMINGTON, Minn., May 3, 2007 — Pearson VUE, the electronic testing business of Pearson, announced the signing of a four-year contract with the National Society of Compliance Professionals Inc. (NSCP) to begin test development and delivery of their new computer-based certification exam, the Certified Securities Compliance Professional™ (CSCP). The exam will be delivered throughout the United States and its territories in the Pearson VUE-owned and -operated network of more than 200 Pearson Professional Centers beginning October 15, 2007.

The CSCP will distinguish professionals with advanced proficiency and a commitment to advancing securities compliance practices and professional development. Lisa Nepi, Deputy Executive Director and Director of Certification for the National Society of Compliance Professionals, said “The introduction of the CSCP will be the industry’s exclusive tool in assessing mastery level competency of investment adviser and broker-dealer professionals. The partnership between NSCP and Pearson VUE for the development and delivery of this new examination will ensure the advancement of the securities compliance profession.”

NSCP is the only nonprofit professional association in the securities industry representing the compliance professional exclusively. The organization serves its members and the industry through education and information. Since its founding in 1987, the NSCP membership has grown to over 1,750 and spans from broker-dealers, investment advisers, bank and insurance firms, to law and accounting firms.
