BLOOMINGTON, Minn., November 3, 2005 — Pearson VUE, the electronic testing business of Pearson Education, today announced Polar Bear Corporate Education Solutions has signed a contract to join the Pearson VUE® Authorized Center Select network. Beginning in January 2006 the Polar Bear test centers, located throughout Canada, will deliver the Graduate Management Admission Test® (GMAT®), an exam used by over 2,400 graduate management programs around the world as part of the application process to MBA and other graduate business programs. The GMAT® test is owned and sponsored by the Graduate Management Admission Council® (GMAC®), a global organization of graduate business schools.
Polar Bear Corporate Education Solutions is one of Canada’s largest providers of corporate technology education and consulting. It maintains offices from the Atlantic to the Pacific coasts, and services over 90,000 clients annually. As part of the Pearson VUE Authorized Center Select network, Polar Bear test centers will offer enhanced security, biometrics and digital audio and visual monitoring services. In addition to delivering GMAT® exams, the Polar Bear test centers will be able to deliver other exams for select Pearson VUE clients in the certification, licensure and academic admissions markets.
